Johnston's Creek starts South of Parramatta Road and flows into Rozelle Bay.

It passes under the first reinforced concrete structure, built in Australia - a sewerage Aqueduct.

The Annandale Heritage Festival takes place in April, under the umbrella of the National Trust Heritage Festival.

The inaugural Annandale Heritage festival took place in April 2012. This built on the long running Hunter Baillie Open day in aid of their National Trust conservation appeal, for the Annandale Sandstone Church, with its landmark spire and chaste, 1886 Arts and Crafts Brick Hall

An organising committee is now being established for an Annual Annandale Heritage Festival.
