Bonsai or Penjing Pavillion

The opening of the National Arboreteum was a windswept affair, which made the exquisite Bonsai or Penjing Pavillion, the home of the National Bonsai and Penjing collection, a popular space.

Appropriately, the visitors centre and penjing pavillion have made extensive use of old hardwood timber - with the howling winds outside providing the feel of a ski resort. When the trees on the hillsides grow, they will provide a welcome windbreak.
