(24) FLOOD IMPACTS
(a) No adverse flooding outside the development site is permitted. Up to an
including 0.01m flood level increase is considered as "No adverse impact."
(b) The flood assessment report submitted (Figure A41 and Section 4.2.5 of
the Harold Park Redevelopment Flood Study report dated 14 June 2012,
prepared Cardno) indicates there is adverse flooding outside the
development site (Minogue Crescent, in the order of 0.02m). The adverse
flooding (increases in flood levels) must be removed.
(c) If drainage or flood mitigations works are to be carried out to remove the
adverse flooding, these proposed works must first be approved by the
Director City Planning, Development and Transport and a revised Flood
Study is to be lodged with Council to demonstrate compliance prior to
completion of works.
(d) Prior to the submission of a Site Audit Statement, a flood assessment
report prepared by a qualified hydraulic and hydrologic engineer and must
be submitted to the Director City Planning, Development and Transport
certifying that there will be no adverse flood impacts outside the
development site due to the development.
(25) WORK METHOD STATEMENT FOR FLOOD WATERS
Prior to commencement of excavation, an Excavation Work Method Statement
prepared by a qualified person outlining how flood waters that run through the
site be managed must be submitted to and approved by the Director City
Planning, Development and Transport. This must identify all water courses and
piped drainage that convey stormwater from upper catchment areas to
Johnstons Creek.
