History

Ramin Communications was established in 1996, to provide Information and Communication Technology Services. Our focus then was on the Internet and World Wide Web.

Experience

Ramin Communications has provided Information and Communication Techology services to all three levels of Australian Government, the Tertiary Education, Community and Private Sector. This includes implementation and operations management services, independent technology advice and website related services.

Websites Pioneer

In 1998, Ramin Communications established the website for the New Theatre and Annandale on Web.

ICT Standards

Ramin Communications' Principal Consultant, Marghanita da Cruz, provided leadership in the drafting of the Australian Standard for Corporate Governance of ICT and its subsequent adoption as the international standard. Marghanita facilitated workshops around Australia to seek feedback and socialise the draft standard. In 2006, Marghanita contributed a Chapter on the new standard to Frameworks for IT Management, published in the Netherlands and later translated into Dutch, Japanese, German and Mandarin.

Ramin Communications has also been active in the Open Data and Open Source Software, Linux and Video on a Laptop communities.

Heritage and Sustainability

Ramin Communications supports through digital promotion Eco-Annandale and the Annandale Heritage Festival community events.
