  3. Local Provenance species Trees should be ordered now so, that they will be of useful size when required. The grounds should incorporate at least one Syncarpia glomulifera (Turpentine) and one ironbark, as well as angopheras, in the significant tree planting. See examples at Large Local trees
  4. Swales along cliff and elsewhere should allow for percolation into the soil, to support trees and vegetation in parklands and streetscape on Harold Park site.

The master plan aims to link the existing parks near Glebe Foreshore – Bicentennial, Federal and Jubilee – with future open space at The Crescent in Annandale, the area between Bicentennial Park and Harold Park known as ‘the Hill’ and new parklands and community space that will be part of the Harold Park development"....more

Phase 1 Community Consultation (July/August 2012)

A Library

A library, incorporating an exhibition space, in the community space in the tramsheds would be well utilised by local residents.

Contemplative bush walk

A contemplative bush walk along the cliff line would be lovely. It would be good to have a fast route from Wigram road to johnston's creek at a lower level.

On Friday, I came across the white faced heron on the path through orphan's creek gully.

The federal park wetland, while improving the quality of the water that enters Sydney Harbour, is another refuge for wildlife

These are some of the flowers, I would like to spot along the contemplative bush walk

http://ramin.com.au/annandale/eco-annandale-2010-october-walk.shtml

A small amphitheatre (not requiring amplification) with the bush and cliff as a backdrop. Along the lines of the Burley Griffin's Haven in Castlecrag. (http://www.thehaven.biz/) (reply 1 Aug)

It would also be good if the amphitheatre utilised any sandstone excavated from the Harold Park site. (reply 2 Aug)

Accessible Amenities

A wheel chair bound park patron, who takes her dog to the parklands, would like an accessible toilet with a bar (emailed to Kristin 27 Aug 2012).
