A memorial was held for Ralph on 23 August 2026. Ralph is remembered for many years of the Spring Festival of Music and as an organist (with Caroline) the resoration of the 1890 Organ and several decades at ABC FM. He produced several CDs including recording of Music in the Hunter Baillie Memorial Presbyterian Church with him at the Organ and the Song Company.

To improve pedestrian safety, local streets through out Annandale are now 40kmph permanently (to try to protect vulnerable kids and older people, pedestrians and cyclists not just in school zones, at school days). Booth Street has been 40kmph for sometime now and Johnston Street has a 50kmph speed limit. The current best practice is a speed limit of 30kmph for road safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

Hording has been erecte on Westconnex Annandale Dive Site on Parramatta Road
Former St Joseph's Convent and St Brendan's Church.
Convent with enclosed balconies (c1970). The enclosures have since been removed and now the convent is the Prebytery.
Right up until 1970s the Josephite Nuns taught at St Brendan's School.MacKillop travelled to Rome in 1873 {Mary MacKillop goes to Rome, The Sisters of Saint Joseph ,https://www.sosj.org.au/mary-mackillop-goes-to-rome/ (viewed 23 August 2026)} and cannonised as a saint in 1995. Her order taught in Annandale and at St Brendan's school (which became a primary school) until the 1970s. The planes had stopped, the hospital helicopter was not the cause of the noise, it was a stream of people chattering as they walked along the footpath. Turns out it was "Camino of St Joseph 2026" and the second stop was St Brendan’s Church.

ANZAC Day 2026Besides a couple taking advantage of Saturday afternoon of 25 April 2026, to get married in the Hunter Baillie Memorial Presbyterian Church. There is WW! Memorial in Hinsby Park, Douglas Grant Memorial Park and niches acknowledging membership of AIF in WW1. There are also numerous honour boards in schools, churches and the former council chambers.Hammond Park is in Ashfield and Easton Park is in Rozelle. White did the war memorial in Kings Park, WA


A Red Light Camera was installed February 2026. This is a dangerous intersection used by primary school children, Mothers with toddlers and bus passengers all on Foot(ie Pedestrians).
The traffic Light in front of Post Office, on Johnston Street was hit. It continued to operate though now on an angle. Photos show Lights on Angle (28 Jan), Staightened (after a couple of weeks by 16 Feb) and then a Keep Left sign attached (21 Feb).

Preparing for 2026 Heritage Festival in Annandale. Came across Hunter Baillie's "famous Hill & Son organ, standing on a raised platform at the rear of the church, is one of the best-preserved and most visually appealing instruments built by the firm in the last decade of the 19th century." The Hunter Baillie Organ was restored in 2016 and is regularly played.

13 Feb 2026: Today's book, at Annandale Bookies, was Legacy of Mabo Exhibition catalog. Besides recognising Blak Douglas and Arone Meeks and Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative including their work, I found Queensland State Library Bookmark and Docket saying I purchased catalog 11/6/2023.
